Day 1 :Arrive Xining and Acclimatization
Arrive at Xining train station or airport, your guide and driver will pick you up there in person with a warm Tibetan style welcome ceremony by presenting you Khata and afterwards transfer you to the hotel, suggest you stay at hotel to have good rest for better acclimatization.
Day 2 : Xining – Kumbum – Tibetan Medicine Museum – Xining
In the morning, visit Xining’s landmarkKumbum monastery, in which myriad chapels, audience halls, Buddhist frescoes, Thangkas, combinations of Mandela, figures of the Buddha stored. In the afternoon, visit the Tibetan Medicine Museum, The Tibet Medicine Culture Museum is located in the center of Qinghai scientific and technological industry park. With the profound ideology and meaning, the main building of the museum is grandiose and magnificent. Tibet Medicine Culture Museum merges the traditional Tibetan architectural style with modern architecture together in the ancient theme of the “Sky is round and ground is square”.
Day 3 : Xining – Qinghai Lake – Tredzong Monastery
In the morning, drive to Qinghai Lake which is the biggest salt lake in Tibet and the name of the lake originated from Mongolian because Mongol tribes were here many year in ancient time. in the afternoon you will drive to Tredzong monastery or Drakkar Treldzong Gon, also known as Tosam Yonten Dargyeling, is a Geluk monastery located at one of the eighteen sacred sites along the pilgrimage circuit around Drakkar Treldzong, or White Monkey Fortress. It is one of the three of the most important relgious sites in Amdo. It was built in 1923 by Arik Tsang.
Day 4 : Tredzong Monastery – Mato
In the morning drive to Mato. Mato is a Tibetan Town which is located at the region of sourrce of yellow river. En route, pass through the town of Zogan Rawa, where you can enjoy a spectacular, scenic view of the awe-inspiring rivers, lakes and valleys. Witness the Golok nomads hard at work as you wind up the beaten tracks towards Amdo grasslands. At a much higher altitude, this remote road will leave you speechless with the view of mountains that peak in the distance, amidst Tibetan wildlife that is renowned amongst bird-watching enthusiasts. The Holy Mountain Amnye Machen, at approximately 2600 feet, is the tallest mountain in its range, and provides brilliant picture opportunities.
Day 5 : Mato – Kyaring & Ngoring Lake – Mato
In the morning, we drive south towards the Kyaring & Ngoring Lake which is regard as the source of Yellow river. Machu in Tibetan. where swans, gulls, wild geese and ducks can be seen nesting. On a hilltop (4610 m)between the lakes there is a very small reconstructed monastery, Tsowar Kartse Doka, said to mark the unknown site of Kartse Palace, which, according to old Tibetan sources, is where Songsten Gampo met and married Princess Wencheng.
Day 6 : Mato – Jyekundo (Yushu)
Before reaching the elegant city of Jyekundo. This unique settlement is home to 76,000 people, comprised of Han, Hui, Salar and Tu nationals, among the predominant populous of Tibetans. Afternoon visit the worlds’ largest mani pile (Gyanak Mani).
Day 7 : Jyekundo
In the Morning visit the Jyekundo Monastery where the great Sakya Monlam for world peace is holding. Gyegu Gon or Kyeku monastery is found on a hill overlooking Yushu Town and belongs to the Sakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism. In the past, a Bon Temple was present on the site, but later in 1398, Jyekundo Temple was constructed in its place. It consisted of 16 temples and was home to around 500 monks before the earthquake of 2010 hit the area. afternoon visit Gyannak Mani. about 6 kilometers east of Jyekundo Town is the Gyanak (Jiana) Mani Stone Field which has an enormous collection of carved prayer stones depicting Buddha sculptures ad mantras. There are over 2 million prayer stones stacked on top of each other spread across a square kilometer and reaching a height of 3 meters. Pilgrims from across the region pay a visit to the temple and make koras of the stone pile.
Day 8 : Jyekundo
In the Morning visit the Jyekundo Monastery and see the festival and after lunch visit Nambar Nangzal located 20 kilometers south outside of Yushu Town, the temple honors Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty when she was on her way to Lhasa in the 7th century. Every Tibetan New Year, devotees visit the temple and perform a kora. The area surrounding the temple consists of thousands of prayer flags and offers picturesque views of the grasslands below and snowy mountains far away.
Day 9 : Jyekundo
In the Morning visit the Jyekundo Monastery and see the festival and afternoon explore the town by your own.
Day 10 : Jyekundo
Your guide and driver will transfer you to the airport, tour ends.
