Day01: Arrive Jyekundo (Yushu)(3658m)
Arrive in the gorgeous Tibetan town of Jyekundo, the main trade mart of the region, where you’ll find a guide ready and waiting to transfer you from the airport to Hotel.
Day02:Jyekundo(3658m)
In the morning you will be visiting the Gyanak Mani. The Gyanak Mani stone pile is composed of at least 2 billion hand-carved prayer stones. Considered one of the holiest sites in Kham, and then visit the Dondrubling Monastery, a Sakya tradition monastery also called Jyekun monastery. which is perched high up on a hill overlooking Jyekundo, it is now home to 400 monks of the Sakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
Day03:Jyekundo(3658m)
In the morning you will be visit Leba vally. In this river valley you will see a great number of Buddhist carvings both on the mountains and in the river. The Leba Valley is 30 kilometers from Jyekundo and the carvings in the river rocks are especially impressive with the water flowing clear and shallow, hundreds of rocks in the river all bear intricate carvings from Buddhist scriptures. You can also swim in a hot spring in the valley. Afterwards, drive further to the valley to visit the temple of Nambarnangzel. It was constructed to honor the Chinese princess who married the Tibetan King Songsten Gampo. King Songsten Gampo is credited as the first person to bring Buddhism to Tibetans.
Day04:Jyekundo – Drinchen – Karnang Monastery(4000m) 160km 4-5hrs
In the morning drive to Karnang monastery via a small town Drinchen. Karnang monastery built as a Yak Hair Tent monastery on the bank of Dzachu river in 1207. Later the monastery became a Geluk monastery from Nyingma tradition after a visit of 6th Panchen Lama. This region is the so called Dzachuka in Tibetan world.
Day05:Karnang Monastery – Mt Gato Jowa – Serkang monastery(4200m) 180km 5hrs
In the morning drive to Mt Gato Jowo via the vast grassland of upper reaches of Dzachu river. Mt Gato Jowo is the one of the four holist mountains in Tibet. Mt Kailash in Ngari. Mt Kawakharpo in Dechen. Mt Amnye Machen in Golok. There are 10 high peaks around the main peak Gato Jowo. And the main peak Gato Jowo is 5470m high. Serkang monastery is one of largest Geluk monastery in Trindo region.
Day06: Serkang monastery – Chumarlab(4200m) 160km
In the morning drive to Chumarlab via Bagyan town. Chumarleb consider to the place where the Yellow river originated. As because of the remoteness of this highland. You can see lots of wild animals like wild Tibetan ass. Tibetan antelope. Wolf and Tibetan fox.
Day07: Chumarlab – Rongbo(4200m) – Jyekundo 310km 6 -7hrs
In the morning back to Jyekundo via Rongbo Natural Reserve. Rongbo is one of the best place where you can see Black Necked Crane. Afternoon drive to Jyekundo.
Day07: Depart Jyekundo.
Your guide and driver will transfer you to the Batang Airport.
